'Meta Ray-Ban Display' glasses leak with impressive heads-up display, thicker design [Video]

Ahead of Meta Connect later this week, an early video has revealed Meta’s new Ray-Ban smart glasses that have a built-in display.
As spotted by UploadVRearlier today, Meta briefly posted a video to YouTube that reveals the “Meta Ray-Ban Display” smart glasses. Continuing its EssilorLuxottica partnership, the new glasses retain Ray-Ban branding and styling, but with an updated design and, obviously, a display.
The video, mirrored on Twitter/X, shows the glasses with a display over the right eye with a monocular heads-up display (HUD). The glasses are shown using Meta AI voice commands, turn-by-turn navigation, responding to messages, and showing translations of text in the real world. The glasses are also shown paired with an sEMG wristband which Meta previously called a “Neural” wristband when paired with its Orion AR concept.
The glasses are noticeably thicker, especially on the temple, compared to existing Meta Ray-Ban glasses. It had been previously reportedthat EssilorLuxottica “balked” (or took issue with) that design requirement.
Meta’s new display-touting smart glasses popped up in a leak earlier this year, and have been reported to cost around $800. Previously, it was thought that Ray-Ban glasses with a display wouldn’t arrive until 2026, but the timing of this clip suggests we may see them officially unveiled sooner than later.
Meta Connect 2025 takes place on September 17.
