Samsung Malaysia Electronics has been recognised with the ESGBusiness Award 2025, a prestigious honour that underscores its unwavering commitment to sustainability, responsible innovation, and greener business practices.

This award stands as a testament to the collective efforts of its people, partners, and customers who continue to support its mission of creating a positive impact for both the environment and society. Guided by its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roadmap, Samsung Malaysia has introduced a range of impactful initiatives that bring meaningful change.Paperless & Digitalisation: Leading the “Go Green” Movement

At the heart of Samsung’s sustainability journey is the drive to reduce paper consumption through digital innovation. By introducing solutions such as the e-queue service ticket, the company has encouraged customers to embrace paperless processes while enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.

From 2022 to 2024, Samsung successfully shifted approximately 359,907 transactions to paper-free alternatives, saving the equivalent of 35 trees. This digital-first approach not only streamlines customer experiences but also contributes directly to global environmental goals.

Eco Repair: Extending Product Life and Reducing E-Waste

As part of its ESG roadmap, Samsung launched Eco Repair, an initiative designed to extend the life cycle of electronic products while making repairs more affordable and sustainable. By choosing repair over replacement, customers are empowered to make greener decisions, reducing e-waste and conserving valuable resources.

Between 2022 and 2024, Samsung repaired approximately 41,419 mobile devices and 18,417 TVs, contributing to the preservation of an estimated 131,316 trees.

Eco Recycle Boxes: Promoting Responsible Disposal

Recognising the growing need for proper e-waste management, Samsung introduced Eco Recycle Boxes at service centres nationwide. These collection points offer customers a safe and convenient way to dispose of old devices, tablets, and accessories responsibly.

By the end of 2024, this programme had collected a total of 138.68 kg of e-waste, ensuring that used materials were kept out of landfills and recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.
