IN a world obsessed with trends, metrics and material growth, one event is inviting Muslims back to something far deeper which is a divine blueprint that merges faith, economy and leadership.
The World #QuranConvention 2025 will return this December with the theme “The Power of Unity: Economic Transformation through Surah Al-Saff.”
Scheduled to take place over two days, from Dec 6, the event aims to explore how the teachings of Surah Al-Saff can inspire collective strength, social harmony and economic resilience in today’s world.
Through the lens of Surah Al-Saff, participants will uncover how even in just 14 verses, the Quran presents a comprehensive leadership and economic framework and one that guides believers from faith to strategy and from mission to movement.
The convention will also examine the concept of “economy through Tijarah” — a Quranic model of trade that inspires real-world commerce rooted in purpose.
The core idea of the convention is that every ayah in the Quran carries a code for transformation in the journey of the ummah.
It also serves as a call for the Hawariyyun (the helpers) to build wilayah (community), revive the spirit of teamwork and strengthen trust in the divine mission.
The convention will feature an impressive line-up of international and local speakers, including Oxford Intellect chief executive Dr Imran Alvi, Bayyinah Institute founder Nouman Ali Khan and Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation chief content officer Fazrul Ismail.
They will explore how the surah offers a complete framework for leadership, unity and economic transformation.
While the venue has yet to be confirmed, the convention is expected to draw participants from across Malaysia and beyond, continuing its legacy as one of the region’s most influential platforms for Quranic understanding and contemporary reflection.
Since its inception, the World #QuranConvention has aimed to bridge Quranic wisdom with real-world challenges, encouraging Muslims to rediscover the Quran as a source of guidance for social, economic and spiritual transformation.
