How Galaxy AI helps you fix photos like a pro, even after you’ve taken them

This post is brought to you by Samsung.
We’ve all been there! Someone blinked in a group photo, the wind ruined your audio, or your video runs a little too long. Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features aim to make those moments less frustrating, offering simple ways to refine photos and videos right from your phone.
With tools like Generative Edit, Best Face, Audio Eraser, and Auto Trim, Galaxy AI helps everyday users clean up, enhance, and polish their content. Best part? No professional editing skills required.
Generative Edit: Reimagine What’s in the FrameGenerative Edit lets you do more than just crop or retouch. It uses AI to understand your photo’s scene and fill in details naturally. You can move, resize, or remove unwanted subjects, and the tool intelligently recreates the background to match.
Say someone walked through your shot, or an object is slightly off-centre. With Generative Edit, you can select that area, drag it into place, or erase it entirely. The AI then generates the missing pixels to complete the image seamlessly.
The feature also supports expanding the photo’s canvas, giving you more space at the edges without distortion. And every result is saved as a copy with a watermark, maintaining transparency about what’s been AI-generated.
It’s an easy way to achieve the framing or composition you originally intended, right in the Gallery app.
Best Face: Everyone Looks Their BestGroup photos rarely go as planned, as someone always blinks or looks away. Galaxy AI’s Best Face feature helps fix that by analysing frames from Motion Photos. It identifies each person’s best expression and merges them into one perfect shot, keeping everyone looking natural.
Instead of retaking multiple photos to get a usable one, you can simply open the image in the Gallery, click on the Pencil icon, tap on the 4 circles, and select Best Face. You can either choose the face from the recommended list or manually choose yourself.
Once done, let the AI handle the rest. The result: genuine smiles, open eyes, and far fewer do-overs.
Audio Eraser: Clear Sound, Clean ResultsEven a great video can be ruined by background noise. Audio Eraser helps you take control of sound by separating different layers, including voices, ambient sounds, traffic, and wind, and letting you reduce or remove what you don’t want.
Galaxy AI analyses the sound wave in real time, removing distractions while keeping the main audio clear. It’s especially useful for outdoor clips, vlogs, or quick recordings made in busy environments.
Just open your video and click on Galaxy AI to access Audio Eraser and let the AI analyse the audio. After that, you can adjust the sliders to clean up the audio by reducing wind and environmental noise. The process is quick, intuitive, and works entirely on-device without an internet connection.
Auto Trim: Highlights Made SimpleTrimming videos is often the most tedious part of editing. Auto Trim simplifies this by using AI to identify key moments like motion, focus shifts, or scene changes, and automatically cutting a long clip into a concise highlight reel.
For travel videos, family moments, or event recaps, this tool quickly refines your footage into something ready to share. You can always review and adjust the suggested edits, but most of the heavy lifting is already done for you.
To use it, select your clips in the Gallery, go to Create, Movie, and then select Auto Trim.
A Seamless AI Editing ExperienceTogether, these tools create a more streamlined editing workflow. You can use Generative Edit to fix a shot’s composition, Best Face to polish group photos, Audio Eraser to tidy up sound, and Auto Trim to shorten the final video.
Each tool addresses a different part of the creative process, but all share one goal: to make editing easier, faster, and more accessible for everyone.
Whether you’re capturing everyday moments or putting together something to share online, Galaxy AI brings professional-grade tools directly into the Gallery app, with no additional software needed.
