TikTok U.S. Creator Summit: Three new features announced today

In addition to an update to its subscription-based revenue-sharing model, the company announced today two AI-powered features that will help creators streamline their pre- and post-production processes. Here are the details.

This feature will help creators who need a hand at structuring their content ahead of the actual recording. With AI Outline, creators can enter a description, such as “Baking lessons for beginners,” and AI Outline will generate “video titles, hashtags, hooks and outlines,” as well as an overall idea of how to optimally structure the content.

While AI Outline is seeing a more limited rollout, Smart Split will be made available globally on TikTok Studio Web, and is designed for videos longer than one minute.

With Smart Smart, creators can upload their content, select which parts of the video they want to keep, and the feature will do the rest:

TikTok also says that users can select from multiple caption formatting options, as well as reframe the content before publishing it directly from TikTok Studio Web.

Capping today’s announcements, TikTok also introduced a revenue share update to its Subscription product, allowing creators to “earn up to 90% of profit payouts.” From the press release:
