Mercedes-Benz Malaysia welcomes new globally certified technicians, highlights investment in talent development - Auto News | Carlist.my
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has marked another milestone in its long-running talent development journey with the graduation of forty-two globally certified technicians from its Advanced Modern Apprenticeship programme.

The company also recognised thirty-seven retail personnel from both Malaysia and Singapore who achieved various Mercedes-Benz Professional Certifications, reflecting the brand’s continued focus on strengthening skills across its regional network.

The Advanced Modern Apprenticeship programme has been a key pillar of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s training efforts since 1984. More than nine hundred and fifty apprentices have completed the three-year programme, which combines theoretical learning, practical training, and assessments based on global standards. This ensures that every graduate is equipped to meet international expectations in diagnostics, servicing, and modern automotive technologies.

The newly certified technicians completed their training in August 2025 and now join the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Customer Services Network. The network currently consists of more than one thousand trained personnel positioned across authorised retail locations in the country. Graduates receive multiple internationally recognised certifications along with a four-year employment guarantee, which supports long-term career progression within the organisation.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia invests around RM100,000 per apprentice throughout the programme. Beyond technical training, the company also offers a structured development path that includes qualifications such as Certified Diagnosis Technician and Certified Service Advisor. These pathways encourage continuous learning and allow individuals to specialise as automotive technology continues to evolve, particularly in areas such as electrification and advanced mobility.

In addition to the apprenticeship graduates, thirty-seven retail staff members from Malaysia and Singapore were acknowledged for completing Professional Certifications in C Management, Service Advisor, and Diagnostic Technician. These certifications reinforce the brand’s emphasis on consistent customer service standards and technical accuracy across its retail operations.
