Mercedes Driver Suspected of Dozing Off Crashes into Barrier Near Nilai, Killing 26yo Passenger

A Mercedes-Benz driver, suspected of dozing off due to fatigue, crashed into the median barrier and became stuck in the guardrail.

There were four people in the car, and the front passenger, aged 26, did not survive.

The 52-year-old driver and two other passengers sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred at around 5:45 AM today (13 December) on the North-South Expressway at kilometre 282.6 southbound, near Nilai.

The driver’s 10-year-old daughter, who was seated in the back, suffered minor injuries. The driver and another back-seat passenger, aged 36, both sustained head and leg injuries. All of them were sent to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban for treatment.

The front passenger, who suffered a severe head injury, was pronounced dead at the scene
