Jobstreet by SEEK announced yesterday the renewal of its collaboration with TARA Foundation, formalising an ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that supports the organisation’s mission to provide free after-school tuition and meals to underprivileged students enrolled at TARA Centres across Malaysia.
Since the partnership began in 2023, Jobstreet by SEEK has supported TARA Foundation by sponsoring 50 complimentary job advertisements to date. This support has helped the organisation successfully recruit staff members, enabling its centres to serve more than 1,000 students nationwide.
Under the renewed partnership, Jobstreet by SEEK will continue sponsoring complimentary job advertisements for the tutors, administrators and support staff TARA Foundation requires to operate its 29 learning centres across Malaysia.
The renewed agreement extends through 31 July 2026, giving TARA Foundation free access to Jobstreet by SEEK’s latest hiring innovations, including AI-assisted job description writing, seekAi’s high-fit candidate prediction, analytics and SEEK Pass for verified credentials. These tools help TARA Foundation reach suitable candidates more efficiently, allowing its centres to focus on supporting students rather than managing lengthy hiring processes.
Supporting TARA Foundation’s Mission to End School Dropouts in B40 Communities
TARA Foundation’s Mission Zero Dropouts programme focuses on reducing school dropout rates among students from low-income, or B40, communities by providing structured academic support, nutritious meals and a safe environment to learn and grow.
Nearly 99% of students who drop out come from B40 families, due to barriers such as poverty, limited parental support and unconducive home environments, which significantly increase the risk of leaving school prematurely. This highlights the critical role of non-governmental organisations like TARA Foundation in providing ongoing academic and emotional support to help vulnerable children remain in school and succeed.
As the organisation expands to meet rising demand, the need for committed and qualified talent has grown significantly.
“Our centres depend on educators and administrators who believe in the potential of every child. Jobstreet by SEEK’s support has been invaluable in helping us reach and recruit the right people to serve our growing number of centres,” said Krishna Raj, Human Resources Director at TARA Foundation.
Empowering Purpose-Driven Hiring
Jobstreet by SEEK’s CSR efforts are grounded in the belief that communities thrive when more people gain access to education and purpose-driven roles. By supporting organisations like TARA Foundation, Jobstreet by SEEK continues to help bridge talent gaps, strengthen future skills development and deliver meaningful local impact through long-term partnerships.
With Jobstreet by SEEK’s continued support, TARA Foundation gains access to recruitment tools such as AI-powered matching and verified candidate profiles, helping the organisation attract higher-quality applicants and streamline hiring. Early outcomes indicate a broader pool of candidates applying within a shorter timeframe, alongside stronger alignment between role requirements and applicant skillsets.
“As an organisation built to help every Malaysian find meaningful careers, supporting TARA Foundation aligns closely with our mission,” said Nicholas Lam, Managing Director at Jobstreet by SEEK. “Their work empowers the next generation, and we are honoured to support their efforts by easing the hiring process so they can focus on transforming lives.”
Driving National Impact Through Community Partnerships
This CSR collaboration complements Jobstreet by SEEK’s broader commitment to national workforce development and its efforts to uplift underserved communities, champion youth and semi-skilled talent, and promote fairer and more inclusive hiring practices.
The partnership also reinforces Jobstreet by SEEK’s focus on purpose-driven collaboration and its role in enabling organisations of all sizes — corporate and non-profit alike — to access talent efficiently and sustainably.
