Speeding Nissan GT-R Entered The Opposite Lane And 2 Lives Lost
Yesterday evening turned very very sad when a horrible accident involving four vehicles happened at Jalan Dedap 1, Taman Johor Jaya around 3.20pm.
A Nissan GT-R was believed to lose control suddenly and then into the opposite lane, before crashing into a Kia Picanto and a Perodua Axia.
Sadly, this tragic mishap took lives. The Nissan’s speed (which is obvious from the pictures here) took the life of the Nissan GT-R driver who was just 29 years old and the also the life of the 30 year old Perodua Axia who passed on while receiving treatment at Sultan Ismail Hospital.
Four other victims sustained minor injuries and have received further treatment. The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
People are reminded to always obey the speed limit, focus while driving and practice prudent driving for the safety of all road users.
Witnesses to the incident or individuals with information are asked to contact police at 07-386 4222.
Meanwhile, the Nissan GT-R (R35) is a legendary Japanese high-performance sports car, often called “Godzilla,” known for its powerful twin-turbo V6 engine, advanced all-wheel-drive system, and cutting-edge technology, offering supercar performance in a relatively practical 2+2 coupe package, succeeding the iconic Skyline GT-R lineage.
Features and Specifications
The Nissan GT-R (R35 model) is a technological powerhouse that combines a hand-built twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system.
Engine: The car features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine known as the VR38DETT, which is hand-assembled by master craftsmen (“Takumi”) in a special dust-proof room.
Performance: It offers exceptional performance, with recent models producing around 565 horsepower (570 PS) and 467 lb-ft of torque (633 Nm). This power, combined with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission that can shift in as little as 0.15 seconds, enables explosive acceleration.
Drivetrain: The advanced ATTESA E-TS All-Wheel Drive system provides superb traction and stability, sending power to the front wheels when needed, but primarily operating with a rear-wheel-drive feel for enhanced steering response.
Aerodynamics: The body is designed with advanced aerodynamics to provide significant downforce while maintaining a low drag coefficient, ensuring stability at high speeds.
Practicality: Unlike many exotic supercars, the GT-R features a 2+2 seating layout (small rear seats) and a reasonably spacious trunk, making it a surprisingly practical performance car for daily driving.
Legacy: The GT-R nameplate has a rich motorsport history dating back to the 1960s, with the R35 being the first model to be offered worldwide and the first to drop the “Skyline” name.
