HP unveils its new Snapdragon X2, Intel-powered laptops – and some Chromebooks too
2 days ago
At CES 2026, HP is showing off some new laptops powered by the latest chips including Snapdragon X2 Elite and Intel Panther Lake coming this year.
Oh, and there are some Chromebooks too.
HP’s consumer-focused laptop layout for 2026 includes five separate series of OmniBook laptops running Windows. The new machines use an assortment of latest-generation Intel and AMD chipsets, as well as a few running on the latest Snapdragon X2 chips.
New Snapdragon laptops coming from HP include:
Pricing varies by model, but the OmniBook 3 series is starting at just $499 – not necessarily for the Snapdragon models – where OmniBook Ultra will start at $1,549 later this month.
HP’s lineup also includes a lot of new laptops running on Intel’s Panther Lake generation CPUs, which retain the Intel Core Ultra branding. Intel touts over 50% performance improvements on this latest generation, as well as more AI improvements.
Launching in February, HP has a few new Chromebooks in store too. The latest generations of Chromebook 14, Chromebook Plus, Chromebook x360 14, and Chromebook Plus x360 14 all have familiar designs and features, while HP touts their 2K displays, but they’re frankly pretty boring releases, all running Intel chips. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed.
