Umno still in ‘denial syndrome’ – Dr Akmal

KUALA LUMPUR – Umno must acknowledge that the party is still trapped in a denial syndrome after failing to show concern for its future, despite suffering heavy defeats in previous elections.

Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh said the party leadership needs to reassess this stance, including how far they have truly succeeded in carrying and voicing the people's aspirations.

Therefore, he said the Umno General Assembly (PAU) should be utilised as the party’s highest platform to articulate the voices and demands of the rakyat.
