Miri police arrest suspect in Kpg Pujut Padang Kerbau theft case

MIRI (Feb 9): Police arrested a local man on Sunday for suspected involvement in a theft case involving an angle grinder and a rivet gun set at Kampung Pujut Padang Kerbau here.

In a Facebook post, Miri District Police said the arrest followed a raid by a team from Miri Central Police Station, led by ASP Goldy Jangan, at a house in Kampung Pujut Tanjung Batu here around 11am.

“Police also seized the clothing worn by the suspect during the incident, along with the angle grinder and rivet gun set, which will be used as case exhibits,” the statement read.

The suspect is currently being detained at Miri Central Police Station lock-up to assist investigations under Section 379 of the Penal Code.

Police stressed that any criminal acts will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
