New Eero Signal promises to keep you connected during internet outages

Update February 12, 2026: The 4G LTE model of the Eero Signal is now available via Amazon for $99. The 5G version is still to come.

Original post below.

Eero has announced a new Eero Signal product that it says will let you “say goodbye to internet outages.”

“Eero Signal delivers cellular backup whenever your wired internet connection goes down,” the company explains. It’s available in both 4G LTE and 5G RedCap versions.

In a press release announcing the news, Eero explained that Eero Signal can be connected to any USB-C Eero on your network to provide backup connectivity during an internet outage. The device has a built-in eSIM and “automatically connects to a local cellular network with the included eSIM” during an outage.

In addition to the Eero Signal hardware, you’ll also need an annual Eero Plus subscription to actually use the built-in cellular connectivity. The base Eero Plus tier, which costs $99.99 per year, includes 10GB of data per year. Eero has also announced a new Eero Plus 100 plan, which provides “up to 100 GB of backup data during an internet outage per month” for $199.99 per year. Eero Plus offers other features, as well.

In the age of widely-available hot spotting plans on your iPhone, I’m not entirely sure how useful Eero Signal will be for the majority of people. It’s an interesting addition to the Eero product line, though.

The Eero Signal 4G LTE will be available in the United States “early next year” for $99.99. The 5G RedCap will be available in 2026 for $199.99.
