Sunway Malls Celebrate Hari Raya with “Seindah Corak Aidilfitri”

SUNWAY Malls is ushering in Hari Raya Aidilfitri with Seindah Corak Aidilfitri, a celebration that honours tradition, family, and togetherness while bringing a contemporary touch to festive experiences.
Inspired by the beauty of Malay textiles such as songket, tenun, batik, and tekat, the campaign transforms these timeless patterns into vibrant visual displays across Sunway Malls. Visitors can enjoy flowing motifs, expressive colours, and immersive installations that capture both the nostalgia of heritage and the excitement of modern design.
At Sunway Putra Mall, the centerpiece is a ketupat-inspired walk-through trellis, symbolising unity, gratitude, and togetherness. Complemented by wooden bazaar-style structures, colourful canopies, lush florals, and rich jewel tones, the space evokes the charm of kampung festivities while offering a fresh, contemporary experience.
The month-long celebration was officially launched by Mr. HC Chan, CEO of Sunway Malls, alongside the Central Managers of the company’s regional malls. The ceremony featured a batik stamping activation with five unique motifs—Kunyit Bersusun, Tampuk Manggis, Bunga Susun Tunggal, Buah Cermai, and Petola Mahkota—symbolising heritage, craftsmanship, and unity. A confetti burst and illumination of the giant ketupat marked the official unveiling of the campaign.
Supporting the campaign are valued partners including UOB, Jasmine, and ASWARA, along with local authorities such as DBKL, KPDN, KLTA, KL Hop-On Hop-Off, and Sentul Fire and Rescue. Sunway’s own business units, including Sunway Putra Hotel, Sunway Putra Tower, Sunway University, and Sunway Super App, also contribute to a festive ecosystem across the group.
Creative collaboration is at the heart of Seindah Corak Aidilfitri, with IKAT overseeing design and Batik artisans Tipah Jusoh and Darus Idris bringing traditional craftsmanship to life. The campaign also features A Story in Every Motif, a collaboration with Sunway University that integrates augmented reality (AR) to let visitors explore the history and symbolism behind each motif.
Festivities are further enriched with Muhibah multicultural music and dance performances by ASWARA, celebrating Malaysia’s cultural diversity, and interactive workshops like the Mosaic Coaster Workshop, allowing guests to create their own Raya keepsakes.
Across its malls, Sunway Malls offers exclusive Indahnya Redemptions, immersive festive décor, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities. The campaign invites everyone to experience Raya as a season of reflection, joy, and togetherness, with each visit becoming part of a celebration “beautifully woven with culture, creativity, and connection.”
