Police: Foreign Traveller Accused of Misconduct at KLIA2 Was Actually a Wardrobe Mishap, Not Intentional

An incident involving a man at KLIA Terminal 2 that went viral on social media has been clarified by police as an accident, not an act of intentional misconduct.

KLIA District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner M. Ravi said the police have not received any report regarding the case, despite widespread online speculation.

According to Ravi, the incident took place on 6 March at around 9:50 PM at the MyBorder counter in the international arrivals area of KLIA Terminal 2.

The individual involved, a 44‑year‑old Indian national, had reportedly missed his scheduled flight the previous day after falling asleep. While waiting at the terminal, he scratched his right thigh, which unintentionally caused his trousers to slip for a brief moment.

Terminal staff who were present noticed the situation and promptly advised and assisted the man in fixing his clothing.
