Claude is letting users bypass its standard usage limits for the next two weeks

For the next few days, Claude says it’s doubling the usage limit for users, but only outside of peak hours.
Under normal conditions, Claude allows users to use its AI models to their heart’s content, within certain usage limits. This is to curtail the demand and wear on its servers as it makes high-performance models available to everyone at the same time. By limiting how much users can demand, Claude does, the experience stays accessible to all users.
For the next two weeks, according to Claude, that’s changing just slightly. Claude says it’s dropping the standard usage limit and doubling it outside of peak hours. The change is part of a promotion for Free, Pro, Max, and Team plans that will run through March 27, 2026. While that isn’t technically two weeks, the announcement came Saturday, March 14, and ends almost two weeks later.
Claude notes that there are still some constraints to the raised usage limits. Most notably, peak hours will not be affected by this temporary change. Weekdays from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. will be exempt from the usage limit increase. Weekends and hours outside that period will double from five-hour limits to ten-hour limits.
This comes right after the company began rolling out its immersive visuals beta. That feature allows users to see, in real-time, visual answers that change with context while presenting interactive elements. The increased usage limit will be a nice bonus for those who want to play around with the new tool.
