1. BOBBY’S BURGERSOne of the Internet’s most followed billionaires has opened his very own burger joint at The Exchange TRX and it goes by the name of Bobby’s Burgers. Yes, you’ve guessed it! This new opening is the brainchild of Ben Sumadiwiria AKA @supercoolben AKA Bobby Saputra, the Indonesian “billionaire” that you’ve probably seen on your social media feeds. On the menu, you’ll find its signature Bobby’s Smash Burger, made with Angus beef patties and the house special Billionaire Sauce. You can even opt for upgrades to bring extra opulence to your bites.

The Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is finally opening the doors to its flagship Italian eatery, Sabato’s. Its menu tells the story of true, hearty Italian cooking that speaks to the soul through thoughtful recipes. Officially openings its doors on 1 April 2026, the restaurant is the perfect spot to let your hair down and your appetite run wild. With lasagna, meatballs, arancini, and more on the menu, you’re bound to have a meal that will hit all the right spots.

3. PICKLE DELIThe team behind Pickle Dining is presenting their very own version of a French deli, aptly called Pickle Deli. Located just downstairs of its bigger sister restaurant, the space will be home to French-inspired home cooking with a little modern, pickled touch. Amongst the dishes to look forward to are its salmon rillettes and chicken pâté, both paired with a freshly baked baguette.

With its bright orange exteriors and interiors, we’re sure you won’t miss Pizza Amane Tokyo in the Taman Tun Dr Ismail neighbourhood. This brand new pizzeria—launched in collaboration with Tokyo’s Pizza Studio Tamaki—is bringing some Japanese flair to its by-the-slice New York-style pizzas. Standout flavours include its signature Tamaki, A5 Wagyu, salmon miso cream, and the perennial classic Margherita. You can also opt to make your order a set with some French fries or Japanese fried chicken to make the most of your visit there.

For the days that you don’t want to get off your sofa but still need that hit of caffeine, head to Lazy Couch, where the space is laidback and cuppas freshly brewed. To pair with your sips, the café offers a sandwich menu, so your appetite also doesn’t go home hungry. As for its interiors, expect minimalist decor with clean lines and white to woody tones—the ultimate clutter-free and stress-free escape.

Taman OUG welcomes a new hangout with bakes and brews as Koan Bakery & Coffee opens its doors. As proclaimed in its Instagram bio, the space is meant for those who want to take a step back from the chaos of daily life and enter a realm with nothing but their thoughts, a new read, a journal, and a coffee—of course.

Longtime fans of Coley will be pleased to know that the renowned bar has now extended its opening hours with an alter ego named Coal. Operating while the sun is still out, Coal serves up zero-proof drinks (AKA safe for the daytime), coffee, and some casual bites. The mocktails here are also an homage to the coffee bean with most of them starring the ingredient. Its fried chicken and ulam raja sandwich is a quirky must!

Melding the art of music with the science of coffee-making and food, Monk is a cosy, little hangout meant for those who want to enjoy the jazzier things in life in a kissa-like space. With coffee, tea, and cakes on the menu, this hangout is made for kicking back with a little pick-me-up. Try its French sliced apple cake for something elegant or go for its citron tart to wake yourself up. Its walls are lined with over 200 records to keep the tunes fresh for all ears.

Adding to the city’s steadily growing portfolio of listening cafés, Listen Hifi is another easygoing spot for audiophiles who double as coffee drinkers to hang out. Each session, priced at RM25, lasts about 90 minutes, which is the perfect duration for about two albums. Its vast space is home to a record collection of 100 vinyls, spanning genres and artists. All you have to do is choose the album of your choice, put in your order with your preferred beverage and bite, sit back, and take in the tunes with views.

Local label Hiraware has introduced its own coffee bar, located within its studio space. Running in collaboration with the folks behind Feeka and beans from One Half Roastery, Bar Hira boasts an extensive range of beans as well as a curated selection of tea and chocolate beverages for non-coffee drinkers. Overall, this new opening serves as a space to socialise with friends, shoot photos, play sets, spark conversations, sip brews, and more.

11. GELULUOne surefire way to beat the heat: a cold treat, and if you happen to find yourself in the Chinatown neighbourhood, Gelulu has the solution for all your sweltering troubles! This handcrafted gelato specialist makes its own recipes that come with a nostalgic and local or Southeast Asian twist. Some top choices include Thai tea, gula Melaka sticky rice, Julie’s peanut butter biscuits, and even a rather novelty assam laksa.
