New Emerald Green colourway now available for Proton e.Mas 7 PHEV
Just two months after its debut in Malaysia, the line-up is already getting a small but notable update with the introduction of a fresh exterior shade for 2026.

Buyers looking at Proton’s plug-in hybrid SUV now have an additional colour to consider, with Emerald Green officially joining the existing palette. Previously, the model was offered in five finishes, namely Obsidian Black, Lithium White, Mercury Silver, Galena Grey, and Azure Blue, paired with either Alabaster White or Onyx Black cabin themes. With this latest addition, the total number of exterior options has now increased to six, and Emerald Green is here to stay as a permanent choice.

According to Puan Salawati Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of Pro-Net, "We have seen strong interest from Malaysians in the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, and we are thrilled to introduce another colour to the line-up with Emerald Green. This addition reflects our commitment to giving customers more choice, while complementing the model’s modern design and electrified character."

As a quick refresher, the Proton e.Mas 7 PHEV is available in three variants, consisting of Prime, Premium, and Premium Plus, priced at RM109,800, RM123,800, and RM129,800, respectively. Regardless of variant, all versions share the same plug-in hybrid setup, combining a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre EM-i four-cylinder petrol engine with a front-mounted electric motor. This configuration delivers a combined output of 262 PS and 262 Nm.

The Prime and Premium variants are equipped with an 18.4 kWh CATL battery, enabling an all-electric driving range of up to 105 km based on the NEDC cycle. Meanwhile, the top-spec Premium Plus benefits from a larger 29.8 kWh Aegis short blade battery, extending the EV-only range to 170 km.

Efficiency remains a key highlight, with fuel consumption rated as low as 4.3 litres per 100 km. With a full tank and a fully charged battery, Proton claims the e.Mas 7 PHEV can cover a total distance of up to 1,065 km on the NEDC standard, making it a compelling option for those seeking both efficiency and flexibility in a family SUV.
