Pluribus season 2 just got an exciting release timing update

Pluribus season 2 is in the works, and one of the stars just shared a big update that sheds light on when to expect the show’s return.

Pluribus season 2 starts filming this fall, per star Karolina Wydra

Apple TV’s sci-fi hit Pluribus has only been off the air for a few months, but the show’s creative team keeps getting asked for updates on season 2.

Until now, all we’ve heard from creator Vince Gilligan, star Rhea Seehorn, and others is that the writers are hard at work. But it’s going to take time and patience.

Star Karolina Wydra, however, who plays Zosia, just shared a much more substantive season 2 update.

Wydra says that Pluribus season 2 begins filming “sometime in the fall,” per an interview with Screen Rant.

She said while there isn’t yet an exact date, a fall 2026 start is the plan.

Considering that every other season 2 update has been non-specific calls for patience, this is exciting news.

When to expect Pluribus season 2 to premiere

If Pluribus does start shooting in the next 5-7 months, there’s still a chance it could hit a fall 2027 launch date—two years after the first season.

A 2028 premiere is the more pessimistic potential return date. But here’s hoping we don’t end up having to wait that long.

On a related note, Severance season 3 is set to start shooting imminently, for a likely late 2027 debut as well.

Apple probably won’t want both shows premiering at the same time, but it would certainly make for an exciting time for the streamer if they did.

When do you expect Pluribus season 2 to premiere? Let us know in the comments.

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
