'I Was Lonely' — M'sian Woman Gets STD After Messing Around With Married Man | WeirdKaya
Loneliness is an emotion that everyone experiences on a regular basis, and sometimes it can drive us to do things we never imagined ourselves doing.

A young woman was left with nothing but regret after deep loneliness drove her into the arms of a married man, only for her to end up contracting a horrifying disease.

Fatal mix of attraction & loneliness

In ananonymous posting, the OP wrote that she first met the man in 2024 and was attracted to his physical appearance.

She added that he had a wife who was working in Singapore, while he worked in construction and had the gift of socialising with almost anyone.

“Over time, I fell in love with him. However, he did tell me that he only saw me as a friend and made it a point to not contact me on weekends as he needed to spend time with his wife.”

Despite the man’s efforts to maintain the relationship as platonic, it didn’t stop the OP’s feelings for him from deepening further.

Unraveled by a drunken night

One night, the OP and the man went out drinking together and this inevitably led to them sleeping with each other.

After that night, the man introduced the OP to his social circle and spent more time with her, leading her to think that they were indeed a couple.

She also said he would occasionally give her small gifts, which made it harder for her to let the relationship go.

Unfortunately, her dream of being together with the man was all for naught when he began worrying over the possibility of his wife discovering the affair.

“He gradually cut off contact with me and I was very upset as I thought I had found someone who cared for me when I was at my loneliest.

“Later I found out that he used similar ways to approach other people too—many of whom had families.”

Shocking revelation

To make matters worse, the OP was dumbstruck to find that she had contacted a sexually transmitted disease (STD) from the man.

Although understandably angry with him, the OP admitted that she was also at fault and urged others to stay level-headed before starting a relationship, adding that “some consequences are too heavy to bear.”
