Apple releases beta 4 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more

Apple moved its lineup of 26.5 software updates closer to launch today, with beta 4 available now for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more.

We’re only six weeks away from Apple’s WWDC unveiling of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and more.

But before then, Apple has at least one more wave of software updates launching to the public.

iOS 26.5 and its companion updates are expected to ship around mid-May, and today the releases have gotten developer beta 4 versions.

iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and more are all available in beta 4 for developers. Public beta releases are expected to follow in the next day or so.

We’ve so far seen that Apple’s 26.5 wave of updates will be a bit lighter on new features than usual.

Some of the biggest highlights include new features coming to three popular apps: Messages, Maps, and App Store.

Additionally, last week revealed that watchOS 26.5 will get a new Pride watch face—as is usual around this time of year.

Otherwise though, Apple is focused on performance and stability with these updates. We’ll let you know if anything new is uncovered in today’s beta 4 releases.

Have you found anything new in iPadOS 26.5 beta 4 or another new beta? Let us know in the comments.
