A One-Night-Only Thai Wine Pairing Experience Comes to Kuala Lumpur
Award-winning Penang restaurant Pennapra Private Dining is making its Kuala Lumpur debut with an exclusive wine pairing dinner, promising a memorable evening of modern Thai cuisine, carefully selected wines, and warm hospitality.

With the first night already sold out on for July 1, it’s now a one-night only affair on Friday, July 3, when Kuala Lumpur’s food and wine enthusiasts are invited to experience the acclaimed flavours of Pennapra Private Dining, the award-winning Penang restaurant making its debut in the Malaysian capital.

Led by Thai Chef Pennapra Yathai, this special collaboration with TEG Media and Spanish Cellar will showcase a curated five-course menu of modern Thai cuisine paired with carefully selected wines to complement each dish. We have enjoyed Chef Pennapra’s superb food previously and can vouch for its outstanding quality and authenticity!

Chef Pennapra hails from the mountainous province of Kamphaeng Phet in Northern Thailand, where she learned the art of authentic Thai cooking from her father while watching him prepare family recipes in the kitchen. Today, she brings those cherished culinary traditions into the modern era, elevating classic Thai dishes through refined techniques and premium ingredients.

Her distinctive approach has earned widespread recognition, including the prestigious Thai Select 2-Star award from the Royal Thai Government in 2025.

“This is the first time we are coming to Kuala Lumpur to host a wine pairing dinner, and we would love to introduce you to our take on Thai cuisine,” says Chef Pennapra.

She adds, “You must always cook with heart, care and attention to detail – that is the only way to make delicious food.”

You are invited to join us for a rare opportunity to experience one of Penang’s most celebrated dining destinations right here in Kuala Lumpur. Set in an intimate Kuala Lumpur venue with Chef Pennapra and her team taking over the kitchen, the dinner promises an elegant setting in which to savour five courses of exceptional Thai cuisine paired with a range of specially chosen wines that are sure to impress.
