Whether you’re in the mood for a dose of culture, keen to discover local makers, looking to move your body or simply want to eat something delicious, this week’s BURO Weekend Guide has you covered. Ahead, we’ve rounded up seven things to do around KL and PJ this 15 to 16 August 2026, so you can make the most of your downtime.

When: From now until 16 August 2026 | 2pm & 8pm

What happens when one of ballet’s most iconic love stories is brought into a Malaysian setting? Presented by Ballet Theatre Malaysia, Swan Lake: A Magical Tale of Malaysia follows the familiar tale of Siegfried, Odeta, and Odila—reworked through a distinctly local perspective that gives the beloved story a flavour of home. Elements of our cultural heritage come through in the production’s storytelling, costumes, sets, and music, while Tchaikovsky’s iconic score is reinterpreted with the integration of regional instruments.
