A recent post has since earned a 17-year-old boy praise from many Malaysians after his elder sister shared a heartwarming conversation between the pair.

In a series of screenshots of their conversation shared on Threads, @nrbtssy_ was deeply moved by a thoughtful gesture from her younger brother—the second child and eldest son in the family—after he sent her a small sum of money.

Her brother, Mohamad Aiman, had transferred RM20 to @nrbtssy_ and encouraged her to use it to get herself something to eat.

She later asked where he got the money from, to which he explained that he had earned RM50 from taking up a job recently.

“I need to practise taking over our late father’s responsibilities”

However, Aiman declined his sister’s offer to return the money, saying that he had given it to her sincerely and felt it was his responsibility to help out, especially following their father’s passing.

Netizens’ reactions

“The Almighty is with us. Good job, sis. You and your family raised him well. I hope you and your family will always stay healthy.”

“When he’s done with his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), let me know so I can offer him a job. Someone like him is truly one in a thousand.”
