Hands-on: Mophie’s new battery banks offer pocketable power, built-in cables at low price

Recently, Mophie debuted four new power banks for the iPhone. They slide nicely into your pocket, come in two finishes, offer built-in cables, and pack 5000mAh or 10000mAh of capacity. They’re by no means the smallest battery banks on the market, though they hit a price point that makes them worthwhile.

Mophie’s new PowerStation Plus battery banks come in Standard and Signature variants, each with 5000mAh and 10000mAh capacity options.

Both the standard and signature versions come in the same footprints, though the signature version comes with a nicer finish and comes with braided cables.

All four versions include integrated USB-C cables for charging your device in a pinch, though they aren’t retractable. The cable is integrated on the side of the bank, and you can slide it out of place when you need to charge.

The lower three variants of the PowerStation Plus come with one built-in cable, whereas the Signature 10K version has two braided cables. With the additional USB-C port, this allows you to charge up to three devices at once.

As mentioned at the beginning, these definitely aren’t the smallest battery banks on the market, though aren’t chunky like many others are. This makes them great for sliding into a pocket without being super noticeable, rather than needing to keep it in a backpack. It also offers LED charge status lights.

Each Mophie PowerStation Plus supports 20W of power output through the USB-C port. That same port is also used for recharging the battery bank. The 5K versions can do about one iPhone 17 Pro recharge at a time, whereas 10K will allow you to fully recharge an iPhone 17 Pro twice. Mophie also engineered these to be airline carry-on friendly, in light of recent battery bank fires.

You can purchase the Mophie PowerStation Plus on Amazon, with the lineup starting at $29.95, ranging up to $59.95.
