When one thinks of KL’s defining It-girls, Ofiellia Iskandar likely comes to mind. Ahead, we speak to the tastemaker about her makeup must-haves, from her secret to a long-lasting beauty beat to the essentials that go everywhere with her:

What made you fall in love with beauty and makeup?

“I think my love for beauty started with my mum. Growing up, I used to watch her get ready for work every morning, and I think that’s where my love for looking put together began. I’ve always loved how makeup can make you feel a little more confident and ready to take on the day. To me, it’s never just been about looking good, but also about feeling good. And honestly, I find the whole process of getting ready quite therapeutic.”

When do you feel at your most beautiful?

“Honestly? When my skin decides to behave and looks beautifully hydrated… and I think I feel my most beautiful when I’m genuinely happy and comfortable in my own skin. I love getting all dressed up, but there’s also something so lovely about those days when I’m wearing very little makeup, my skin looks healthy, and I just feel like myself.”
