As of April 2023, the ranking of the best-selling cars in ASEAN continues to be led by the Toyota Hilux, with the Isuzu D-Max following closely behind. A notable standout is the Toyota Yaris Ativ, which has risen an impressive 22 spots to secure the ninth position, experiencing a remarkable growth of 153.2%. Similarly, the Honda HR-V has seen a significant surge of 99.8%, propelling it into the eighth spot on the list.
In terms of the ranking for the most popular cars in the region, the Toyota Hilux, manufactured in Thailand, continues to maintain its position as the top-selling car up until April 2023. Despite a decrease of 7.2%, it sold a total of 64,228 units, surpassing its competitors. The Isuzu D-Max closely follows with 59,664 cumulative sales, experiencing an 8.0% decline.
Taking the third position is the Mitsubishi Xpander, with a notable increase of 13.3% and 34,797 sales. The Toyota Avanza, rising by three spots, secures the fourth position with 25,875 units sold, showing a significant growth of 23.4%. The Honda City, however, experiences a decrease of 24.4% with 24,832 new registrations.
Ranking at sixth place is the Ford Ranger, selling 24,236 units, indicating a remarkable growth of 24.0%. The Toyota Fortuner, climbing five spots, secures the seventh position with 23,586 registrations, though experiencing a decline of 12.6%. The Honda HR-V, rising by thirteen spots, follows closely with 22,755 sales, reflecting an impressive growth of 99.8%.
At the bottom of the leaderboard, the Toyota Yaris Ativ jumps twenty-two spots to secure the ninth position with 21,289 units sold, showing a significant growth of 153.2%. On the other hand, the Honda Brio drops four spots to claim the tenth position with 20,713 cumulative sales, experiencing a slight decline of 2.2%.
