If you haven’t already noticed, diversity and inclusivity in the fashion industry have evolved in recent years—seeing more and more varied castings, including having K-pop idols fronting campaigns for luxury labels. However, there’s another nation that’s currently breaking out: our neighbouring country, Thailand.
Thanks to Thai dramas and music, these stars have gained international acclaim, which has them garnering loyal fans across the world. Ahead, we’ve rounded up 11 stars that are making headlines abroad and expanding their presence in the glamorous world of fashion.
Jeff SaturJeff Satur wraps up 2024 on a high note with his appointment as Valentino’s newest brand ambassador. The multi-talented Thai artist first made a name for himself in the BL drama KinnPorsche, where he demonstrated both his acting and musical talent, writing and performing the hit song Why Don’t You Stay. His career has since soared, with notable achievements including Kom Chad Luek Best Male Artist, Nine Entertain Solo Artist of the Year, and three Spotify Awards in 2024. Beyond his success in music and acting, Jeff has also made his mark in fashion, debuting at Valentino’s Pavillon des Folies SS25 show in Paris—the first collection under creative director Alessandro Michele.
Gulf KanawutGulf Kanawut’s journey into the industry started at the age of 17 with his role as ‘Young Tee’ in Mafia Luerd Mungkorn: Singha, and it wasn’t until four years later that he came into the spotlight, thanks to his acting in Tharntype: The Series. This performance not only earned him accolades at the Kazz Awards and Line TV Awards but also paved the way for various opportunities, notably in the fashion scene.
His rising prominence brought him to Gucci, with whom he has collaborated since 2020. The Thai actor has been a regular presence at Gucci events, from the Gucci Art Lab in Bangkok to the House’s Cruise 2024 show in Seoul and the Ancora Men’s FW24 show in Milan this year. On top of that, he has been named the latest brand ambassador for Gucci in Thailand, following in the footsteps of Davika Hoorne.
PP KritFrom starring in a drama show with Davika Hoorne to releasing a debut single, It’s Okay Not To Be Alright, the sky’s the limit for Krit Amnuaydechkorn, popularly known as PP Krit. His persistence paid off eventually, as he walked away with the Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
And, it doesn’t stop there as he has been named as one of Balenciaga’s brand ambassadors, a first for both the house and Thailand. Prior to the announcement, he attended the Maison’s latest ready-to-wear and Couture presentations and is slated to participate in its future projects. “As an artist, Balenciaga’s creations allow me to express my authentic self and individuality to the world,” the actor shares.
Bella CampenBella Ranee Campen began her career as a model before transitioning to acting, with some of her most notable dramas including Porn Prom Onlaweng and Khun Chai Puttipat. Her performance in Love Destiny, in particular, gained her the Best Actress Award at the Nataraj Awards, and she currently has more than 40 awards to her name.
As one of Thailand’s prominent actresses, it was only a matter of time before she inked a brand partnership with Fendi and became the country’s first Friend of Fendi. Since the appointment, the Thai-British beauty has been spotted at the ‘World of Fendi’ event in Bangkok as well as on the front row of the House’s AW24 fashion show—sitting among A-listers like IVE’s Yujin, Haruna Kawaguchi and Heart Evangelista.
Urassaya SperbundThose who enjoy Thai dramas and films might be familiar with Urassaya Sperbund. The Thai-Norwegian model and actress has been in the profession for over 15 years and is admired for her acting skills. When it comes to style, she never shies away from breaking the rules and experimenting with whimsical elements, which is why she’s a fixture at Fashion Week, whether in New York or Paris. On top of that, she was also named a Friend of Louis Vuitton in 2018 and graced the House’s SS show that same year.
Nattawin WattanagitiphatNattawin first entered the acting field in 2014, contracting with Channel 3 before taking breaks for over two years after the contract ended. Perhaps it was destiny that when he returned to the big screen a few years later for KinnPorsche, his leading role launched him to stardom—gaining him 4 million Instagram followers and the attention of Dior. The dashing actor has been working with the French fashion house since 2023, from attending the re-opening of its flagship store in Taipei to sitting in the front row at the pre-fall show in Mumbai a few months later. Before you knew it, he was appointed as the Thai ambassador for Dior Homme, together with Mile Phakphum.
Davika HoorneDespite having already achieved a lot in her career over the past decade, Davika continues to flourish, especially in recent years. In addition to her impressive filmography, the Thai actress and singer is renowned for her unique style that sets her apart from the crowd. She rose to new stylish heights as she sat in the front rows of Gucci Twinsburg during Paris fashion week and starred in the new Calvin Klein Denim campaign. Other than that, Davika was named Bulgari’s House Friend for the South Asia Pacific region and Gucci’s first-ever brand ambassador in Thailand.
Win MetawinMetawin Opas-iamkajorn, also known as Win, is a relatively new kid on the block in the entertainment world. His breakthrough role in the drama 2gether: The Series in 2020 led to his overnight success and global stardom with a huge following across the world. Additionally, his sophisticated sense of style has rendered him a regular at fashion shows in his home country, and as such, it’s only fitting that he was named the brand ambassador for Italian fashion powerhouse Prada—a first for a Thai actor.
Bright VachirawitJust like his co-star Win, Bright made his mark in the industry with his work in 2gether: The Series and cemented his fame with a lead role in the Thai adaptation of Boys Over Flowers, F4 Thailand in 2021. In between acting and singing, Bright’s quick rise to fame has helped him amass an intriguing lineup of brand endorsements with luxury labels from Prada to Louis Vuitton. The best news, though, is that he was appointed the first South Asia Pacific Ambassador for Burberry and he has since made a dashing front-row appearance at the brand’s SS23 and AW24 show in London.
Ten LeeIf you’re a fan of K-pop, you’ve probably heard of Ten—a member of the Korean boy band NCT. Although Ten is based in Korea, he’s originally from Thailand and has released several singles that have positioned him as one of the few foreign idols to succeed in the K-pop industry. Similarly, Ten has success in the fashion scene, having debuted a capsule line with Represent in 2021. From short-sleeve tees to denim jackets, each piece is designed by himself and they are all, of course, all sold out. Since 2023, he has been regularly invited to Saint Laurent Men’s fashion show, where his bold fashion statements have consistently grabbed the media’s spotlight.
Mile PhakphumIf you’re a fan of KinnPorsche, you’ve likely recognised Mile Phakphum, who has become a global sensation through this TV drama. Best known for playing Kinn on the show, the popularity of the series prompted him, along with his co-stars, to embark on the ‘KinnPorsche World Tour’ that further elevated his popularity on a global scale. The Thai actor also rocked the fashion world when he was spotted going to the Dior Homme Menswear AW23 show, alongside Jimin of BTS. With 3.6 million followers on Instagram, plus an additional 900k followers on Twitter, it’s no surprise why this charismatic actor has been on our radar recently.
