M'sian Woman Asks BF to Come Over, Allegedly Locks Him in a Room & Physically Abuses Him With Her Family

Tawau District Police recently shared a statement about a 27-year-old man who was allegedly abused and locked up by his girlfriend’s family in an incident that took place on December 19 in Sabah.
According to Tawau District Police Chief, ACP Jasmin bin Hussin, the incident started on December 17 (Tuesday) when the man was heading home and got a message from his girlfriend telling him she was pregnant.
He was threatened with a samurai sword
Jasmin went on to explain that the victim got another message from the girlfriend around 7:00 AM the next day, asking him to come over to her house.
When he arrived at her house, the victim was told to go into a room and claimed he was locked in by the girlfriend’s dad.
Jasmin added that his girlfriend allegedly used a hot iron to hurt the victim, causing burns on his left arm.
The girlfriend and her family tried to flee
Jasmin shared that the victim managed to escape by breaking the room window and running to the main road to seek help from the public.
Acting on information, a police team from the Bombalai Police Station, led by the Bombalai Police Chief, was able to catch 2 male suspects, aged between 30 and 64, and a 25-year-old female suspect, who tried to escape.
They also seized a hot iron, a mobile phone, and a samurai sword with its sheath, which were believed to have been used during the incident.
Jasmin added that the police are looking into the allegations and will take appropriate action against the people involved. He also asked the public not to speculate until the investigation is finished.
The case is being investigated under Sections 324 and 506 of the Penal Code for causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
