Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today introduced its new “AI for All” vision at CES® 2025, focusing on making AI an “Everyday, Everywhere” experience. Building on a decade of leadership in connected home technology, Samsung aims to bring intelligence to daily life, enabling a more personal, impactful, and empowering world for users.

Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, opened Samsung’s CES 2025 press conference by unveiling the company’s roadmap for Home AI. This plan redefines the concept of home by delivering personalised services across all intelligent, connected devices. Alongside Samsung’s innovations in AI-powered mobile devices, home appliances, and visual displays, this strategy underscores the company’s commitment to human-centric innovation and integrating AI into everyday experiences to improve lives.

“I’m proud of how we have introduced new technologies and intelligence to the home, connected key devices, and set the standard for the home of the future,” said Vice Chairman Han. “This year at CES, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering personalised experiences through widespread AI implementation. We will continue this journey of AI leadership in the home and beyond, not just for the next decade but for the next century.”

Elevating Everyday Experiences with Home AI

Jonathan Gabrio, Head of the Connected Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, expanded on Samsung’s Home AI vision, emphasising the integration of AI across the connected ecosystem to cater to diverse lifestyles. From single-person households to multi-generational families, Home AI adapts to individual routines, providing a hyper-personalised smart home experience.

Security and privacy remain at the core of Samsung’s strategy. As users incorporate more connected devices into their homes, Samsung has extended its security capabilities. Samsung Knox Matrix now protects home appliances alongside mobile devices and TVs, utilising blockchain technology to safeguard the user’s home, data, and devices from digital threats. The Knox Matrix Dashboard simplifies security management, while Credential Sync encrypts and decrypts data exclusively on the user’s devices. Additionally, Samsung Knox Vault offers an added layer of protection for sensitive information like passwords and PINs.

One UI enhances interoperability across Samsung devices, providing AI-based features and software updates for up to seven years. Samsung’s SmartThings platform further streamlines the smart home experience with its latest AI technologies. Features like SmartThings Ambient Sensing use connected devices to analyse human movements and ambient sounds, enabling seamless adaptation to daily routines.

Samsung has also integrated Bixby Voice, its enhanced AI voice assistant, which recognises individual voices and delivers tailored responses, further enriching usability.

Another innovation, Flex Connect, is Samsung’s energy demand response programme, incentivising users to enrol their devices with SmartThings Energy. This initiative, which rewards users with Samsung Rewards points, will expand to select regions in Texas in 2025, addressing critical electricity grid needs.

AI-Driven Productivity and Wellness

Samsung’s new Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 PCs feature AI-driven tools, including AI Select for efficient browsing and Samsung Studio for seamless editing across Galaxy devices. Powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors (Series 2), these devices enhance productivity and creativity, with features like Photo Remaster, which upscales low-resolution photos, and Storage Share, which enables direct file access across devices without downloading.

On the wellness front, Samsung combines AI with Samsung Health to empower users to make informed health decisions. AI-driven insights from the Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch deliver a holistic approach to health management, seamlessly integrating into the smart home ecosystem.

Seamless Entertainment in the AI Era

Samsung’s Vision AI transforms screen experiences, offering unparalleled personalisation and features like Generative Wallpaper on TVs. The Neo QLED 8K introduces advanced AI features such as 8K AI Upscaling Pro, Auto HDR Remastering Pro, and Colour Booster Pro, enhancing picture quality. Additionally, Samsung’s QLEDs now include over 3,000 digital art pieces, turning any space into a personal gallery.

Expanding its Screens Everywhere strategy, Samsung is introducing displays on appliances like refrigerators with 9-inch AI Home displays, offering entertainment, AI features, and access to online grocery services like Instacart.

AI Beyond the Home

Samsung’s SmartThings Pro extends AI capabilities to business partners, providing solutions for multi-residential homes, retail spaces, hotels, and schools. By integrating energy management and maintenance tools, businesses can achieve greater efficiency. Collaborations like SmartThings for Ships and a partnership with Hyundai Motor Group bring AI to maritime and automotive sectors, offering innovative solutions such as pre-sailing automation and EV battery optimisation.

Empowering the Next Generation

Inhee Chung, Vice President of the Corporate Sustainability Centre, highlighted Samsung’s efforts to use AI for inclusivity. Accessibility features, such as syncing text in high contrast or providing audio guides, ensure that devices cater to users with diverse needs. Initiatives like Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus prepare young innovators through STEM and emerging technology training.

Samsung’s partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) continues to inspire global change. Since its inception, the Samsung Global Goals app has raised over $20 million, supporting nearly 300 million users in advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

A Vision for the Future

With its “AI for All” vision, Samsung is shaping the future by delivering AI-driven solutions that enhance lives, promote sustainability, and empower communities worldwide. From the home to global industries, Samsung’s innovations ensure AI is an everyday, everywhere experience.
