Modenas, a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM, proudly unveiled its latest motorcycle model, the Modenas Kriss 125 Fi, during the company’s annual Modenas Dealer Dinner and Awards Presentation for 2024. This significant event marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Modenas as it introduced its first model in a new motorcycle segment.

The launch of the Kriss 125 Fi represents a major milestone in Modenas’ 30-year history, marking the company’s entry into a fresh segment of the motorcycle market. This move highlights Modenas’ ongoing commitment to innovation and expanding its product offerings to cater to a broader range of riders.

Moreover, the Kriss 125 Fi is priced at RM5,620 (excluding insurance and road tax) and is now available at all Modenas authorised dealer showrooms across Malaysia. Riders can choose from two vibrant colour options, namely Glacier Emerald Green and Graphite Grey, offering both style and practicality for Malaysian riders.

The key specifications of the Modenas Kriss 125 Fi are impressive. The motorcycle is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, 2-valve engine that meets Euro 4 standards. With a displacement of 124cc, the Kriss 125 Fi produces a maximum power output of 6.3 kW at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm. 

The engine also features a compression ratio of 9.3:1 and is equipped with both electric and kick-start systems. Lubrication is handled through a pressure and splash system, with an engine oil capacity of 1.0L. Additionally, the Kriss 125 Fi has a 4.2L fuel tank and uses a reliable fuel injection system, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency and performance.
