Apple has launched Apple Invites, a new app designed to streamline event planning, from sending stylish invitations to managing RSVPs and curating party playlists. Available now on the App Store and iCloud.com/invites, the app offers iCloud+ subscribers the ability to create invitations, while anyone—regardless of whether they use an Apple device—can RSVP.

“Apple Invites brings together capabilities our users already know and love across iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, making it easy to plan special events,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud.

The app is positioned as more than just an invitation tool. It allows users to share event memories through Shared Albums and create collaborative Apple Music playlists, bringing a seamless experience before, during, and after any gathering.

With Apple Invites, users can design personalised invitations by selecting images from their photo library or choosing from a collection of curated backgrounds suited for various occasions. Event locations integrate with Apple Maps, providing guests with directions, while a built-in weather forecast ensures no one is caught off guard by rain or extreme heat.

Beyond the invitations themselves, guests can contribute photos and videos to a Shared Album tied to the event, allowing everyone to relive the occasion long after it ends. Apple Music subscribers can also craft collaborative playlists, ensuring the perfect soundtrack for every event, whether it’s a casual get-together or a major celebration.

Apple Intelligence Adds a Creative Touch

Apple’s growing focus on AI-powered features extends to Apple Invites, making invitation creation even easier. Users can tap into Image Playground to generate unique invitation designs based on concepts, descriptions, and even familiar faces from their photo library.

Meanwhile, Apple’s Writing Tools help refine invitation text, so users can craft the perfect message without sounding overly formal—or worse, like a corporate memo.

Flexible for Hosts, Simple for Guests

Event hosts have full control over invitations, with the ability to track RSVPs, set event details, and choose what information is displayed to invitees. Invitations can be shared via a simple link, making the process effortless.

Apple has also made the app accessible to non-iPhone users, meaning that guests can respond via the web, even if they don’t have an Apple account. This means Android users can no longer claim they were “accidentally” left out of the plans.

Apple Invites is part of the iCloud+ suite, which includes expanded storage, Private Relay for private browsing, Hide My Email, and HomeKit Secure Video for encrypted home security footage. Plans start at just RM3.90 per month, offering an affordable way to access these premium features.

Whether you’re planning a small dinner, a birthday bash, or a full-blown house party, Apple Invites aims to make the process easier, so you can focus on the fun instead of the logistics. The app is available now for download on the App Store or via iCloud.com/invites.
