MPKS unveils new corporate song ‘Gemilang Di Hati’ during Integrity Day 2025

KUCHING, Feb 21: The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) unveiled a new corporate song in conjunction with Integrity Day 2025, which took place at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) Sarawak today.

According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the song, titled ‘Gemilang Di Hati’, is symbolic of the dedication shown in the public sector.

MPKS chairman Dato Peter Minos officiated the event with the aim of ensuring that administrative affairs are carried out transparently, efficiently, and based on the principles of honesty.

In addition, an integrity talk forum was also held, featuring a panel of forum members including MPKS secretary Gustian Durani; head of the community education branch of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sarawak Mardiana Han; and head of the SALCRA integrity unit Susan Steward Ngau Ding, moderated by Norhamimah Buang from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas).

A pledge-taking ceremony led by the head of the MPKS enforcement division, Vallaryalin Ili, also took place.

A representative of the integrity, audit and inspectorate unit of the Sarawak Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, Peter Buyok and MPKS council members also attended the event.

With this event, MPKS continues to demonstrate its determination to strengthen a culture of integrity, thus ensuring excellent and accountable public services. — DayakDaily
