1. MAKE A PIT STOP AT PUMA’S ‘SPEEDCAT MOTEL’ POP-UP

Eyeing those new Puma Speedcat Ballets? Then it’s time to make a beeline for the Starhill Piazza, where the ‘Speedcat Motel’ pop-up is happening all weekend long! Not only will you get to get your hands on your own pair of Speedcat shoes (if you get there in time!), you’ll also get a custom-made keychain, some slushies, and—of course—some shots for the ‘gram at its photo-worthy corners.

2. CHEERS TO A DECADE OF NOBU KUALA LUMPUR WITH ITS ANNIVERSARY COCKTAIL MENU

The famed Nobu Kuala Lumpur is marking its tenth anniversary later this year and it’s getting its celebrations started way early! For the next few months leading up to the big day, the restaurant will be introducing a new initiative to honour the milestone. This month, the Nobu bar has unveiled a series of exclusive anniversary cocktails that you can enjoy before, during, or after your meal. Each cocktail is dedicated to a different Nobu bartender from around the world with Kuala Lumpur getting our very own ‘Highland Delight’.

3. CHOW DOWN AND BOTTOMS UP AT DOU DOU BAKE’S ‘GLOU GLOU’

When: 18 to 20 & 25 to 27 April 2025 | 6pm to 11pm

Dou Dou Bake’s popular Glou Glou nights are back! This is your chance to get your fix of its fluffy, freshly-grilled burgers with juicy meat patties alongside a medley of condiments and relishes. To wash down your bites, there will of course be a selection of natural wines on hand, plus kombucha floats and watermelon coolers. We don’t know about you, but this sounds like the ideal weekend evening to us!

4. FIND YOUR PACE AND COMMUNITY AT ‘CITY PULSE’ 

Where: Semua House

If you’re deep in the running way of life, you’ll want to have ‘City Pulse’ on yoru agenda for the weekend. The three-day long event consists of a retail pop-up, a community run, an invite-only race, coffee, music, and more. Whether you’re in to get in some steps and sweat or just want to hang back with a cuppa for your rest day, you’ll find a space for yourself here. At the pop-up, there will be a range of running and performance lifestyle brands to discover—some of which are making their Malaysian debut. On Saturday, join in on the seven-kilometre ACRC Community Run through the heart of KL for some sweat and sights.

5. CHAMPION NEURODIVERGENT ARTISTS AT “CELEBRATE DIFFERENCES” 

When: From now until 30 April 2025 | Open by appointment

Where: Inner Joy Art Gallery

In case you missed it, this April is World Autism Acceptance Month and Inner Joy Art Gallery is putting neurodivergent artists in the spotlight with its “Celebrate Differences” exhibition. Embracing the unique talents of each of the 17 artists, the show encourages viewers to shift their perceptions of autism into one that appreciates the strength of those who live with it. “Celebrate Differences” was brought to life as part of the Start Art Program under Gifted Brush.

6. KICK BACK BY THE GRILL AT ‘BURGERS, BOOZE & BEATS’

When: 19 to 20 April 2025 | 12pm to 10pm (Saturday) | 10am to 10pm (Sunday)

Patties & Dough is setting up shop in Chinatown this weekend for ‘Burgers, Booze & Beats’! No prizes for guessing what the event entails… Happening at Wildflowers, the pop-up promises a good time with hot-off-the-grill burgers, refreshing drinks, plus slick sounds from OpenHouse International and Peot—what more could you ask for? So round up your besties and clear your schedule for an easy and low-key day out.

7. CHANNEL YOUR INNER SHOYO HINATA AT THE ‘HAIKYU!!’ POP-UP STORE

When: 16 to 4 May 2025 | 10am to 10pm (daily)

Where: 1 Utama Shopping Centre | LG Oval (16 to 20 April 2025) | First floor, Centre Court (21 April to 4 May 2025)

1 Utama Shopping Centre is transforming into a Haikyu!! hotspot as the first-ever pop-up store dedicated to the globally-renowned anime and manga series is now open! Here, fans can get their hands on exclusive merchandise, including t-shirts, coasters, hoodies, pillows, and more. There are also photo zones, 1 Utama limited-edition merchandise, and exclusive gachapons available so fans can get knee-deep in the Haikyu!! spirit while there. Those visiting over this weekend will also be able to catch the 1 Utama Mixed Volleyball Championship, in which local teams will jump, set, and spike their way to the top prize.
