Zeekr Sets Up Local Sales Corp, Looking To Expand Network

Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has taken full control of the brand here.

Late last year, the Zeekr brand debuted in Malaysia with the 009 MPV and the X crossover. It was an interesting couple of cars but many were left a little confused by the organizational flowchart. You had dealer partners from Sunway (even the preview of the vehicles was done on Sunway property), you had Sentinel Automotive (who are responsible for another Geely brand, Lotus) handling distributorship and the AP side of things, but then you also had Geely’s local and regional office handling some aspects of the business.

Half a year later, we now have a national sales company set up with the express purpose of handling all things Zeekr pertaining too wholesale, dealer network expansion, branding and marketing and aftersales and this company is called Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This new business entity is focused on three areas: enhancing aftersales services, expanding network availability and increasing marketing investment for all things Zeekr. Sentinel Automotive remains the official importer and a dealer of Zeekr vehicles alongside other dealers like Carro and Preeminent Auto in Petaling Jaya and IOI Mall Puchong.

Besides these two showrooms, Zeekr will also have EIGHT additional showrooms set-up nationwide by the end of the year:

The product portfolio remains the same for now. You have the Zeekr X crossover – stylish and reasonably good value for money. The X is built on the same bones as more expensive electric products like the Volvo EX30 and the smart #1 and #3. The 009 is a large and upmarket electric MPV available in at least 2 variants (a third limited edition, stripped down version was announced at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025). The Zeekr 7X has yet to be launched in Malaysia.
