Malaysia’s First-Ever ‘Chief Pint Officer’ Wanted – No Resume Required!
Guinness Malaysia has launched a nationwide hunt for its first-ever Chief Pint Officer (CPO) – and no, you don’t need to polish your résumé. This isn’t just a gimmick; the CPO will be a real brand ambassador, championing quality and celebrating what makes a pint of Guinness Draught so iconic.
As the face of pint perfection, the CPO will serve as a standard-bearer for the brand – someone who knows a well-poured Guinness when they see it, understands the craft behind the pour, and shares that appreciation with others. And as you might expect, there are plenty of perks in the mix.
WHAT’S ON TAP FOR THE CPO?The successful candidate will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Dublin, monthly Guinness (to be enjoyed responsibly, naturally), VIP access to selected events, and more.
To enter, applicants must head out in search of the perfect pint and put it to the Tilt Test: gently tip the glass a few degrees – if the creamy head stays in place, you’ve got a winning pour. Snap a photo, share it on Instagram Stories, tag @GuinnessMY, and include #GuinnessTiltMY.
Each valid submission adds to your score. The top 20 participants with the most submissions by July 31, 2025 will move on to the next stage of the selection process. Weekly leaderboard updates will be posted every Monday via @GuinnessMY’s Instagram Stories.
BAR OR HOME? BOTH COUNTApplicants can post from any participating bar nationwide that serves Guinness Draught. Guinness is also hosting CPO Open Days at 25 selected venues, where brand ambassadors will guide hopefuls through the six-step Guinness pour and teach them how to spot a pint that passes the Tilt Test. Prefer enjoying your pint at home? Grab a Guinness Draught in a Can (GDIC), pour it properly into a clear glass, and snap away. Just no mugs or shortcuts, please.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?Once submissions close, the top 20 applicants will enter the Guinness Leadership Programme, where they’ll learn the 7Cs of the Perfect Pour – from Cleanliness and Coldness to Craft and Confidence – and become part of a community of Guinness enthusiasts and aspiring pint ambassadors.
At the end of the programme, finalists will take on one final challenge. The winner will be crowned Malaysia’s first-ever Chief Pint Officer, walking away with:
“This campaign isn’t just about beer – it’s about the pride, precision, and ritual behind every perfectly poured pint,” said Joyce Lim, Marketing Manager – Wheat Beer, Stout & Diageo Brands, Guinness Malaysia. “We’re inviting more people to understand what makes a great pour and to celebrate the heritage and craftsmanship behind every glass.”
The race is on – and every pint shared is one step closer to the CPO crown.
This promotional campaign is open to non-Muslims aged 21 and above. Terms apply. Please enjoy Guinness responsibly.
