1. CATCH TRAILBLAZING WOMEN IN ACTION AT ‘LEADING VOICES’

When: 12 and 13 July 2025 | 11am onwards

Where: Living Room at W Kuala Lumpur

W Kuala Lumpur is making her-story this weekend with ‘Leading Voices’, its first-ever all-female creative residency. Over two days, the hotel will transform into an immersive playground spotlighting women at the forefront of art, music, tattoos, and mixology. Leading the charge are visionaries like Hannah Bhatt of The Uncanny Valley Studios, Caden Chua of Coley Bangsar, Carrelyn Chow of House of Oma, and Nadia Heng, just to name a few. From live tattoo sessions and genre-bending DJ sets to thought-provoking talks and expertly crafted cocktails, it’s a weekend built to champion individuality, bold expression, and fearless creativity.

2. DINE AND DANCE AT THE HOUSE OF WHEAT X JAMESON COFFEE RAVE

When: 12 July 2025 | 10am to 2pm

Where: UP Kuala Lumpur

UP Kuala Lumpur returns with another edition of its ‘Coffee Rave’, this time in collaboration with House of Wheat and Jameson Malaysia. The day party has everything you need to kick-start your Saturday morning, from a coffee and pastry on arrival to Jameson’s signature Espresso Martini for an afternoon pick-me-up. DJs Pauly B., Vanns Ngo, and Ivan Kon will be on deck, spinning a mix of soulful Afro-house and high-energy beats to keep you moving as you sip and snack. Oh, and don’t sleep on the giveaways—there are exciting prizes up for grabs too!

3. SPEND A SUNNY DAY OUT AT PASAR KL’S SUMMER MARKET

When: From now until 13 July 2025 | 12pm onwards

Where: REXKL

Price: Free entry

Summer’s in full swing, and Pasar KL is bringing the fun to REXKL with its biggest market of the season! Expect knick-knacks, fashion, and fun-filled activities—plus a buzzing crowd that’s here for a good time. Some vendors you might want to stop by include MakeScents Fragrances, Jasmine Sun Studio, and Hue Snackable Moods. There will also be plenty of food and drink options on-site to keep you nourished and refreshed throughout the day. While you’re at it, don’t forget to hit up the photo op corner!

4. GET DOWN WITH SOUNDS, STOUT, AND ART AT ‘CONNORS COLLECTIVE’

When: 12 July 2025 | 1pm to 12am

Where: Heritage Valley Kuala Lumpur

Price: Free entry

If you’re after a music fest with a little something extra, ‘Connor’s Collective’ should be on your radar. Taking over Heritage Valley KL, this all-day affair brings together a community of creatives, changemakers, and party-goers who aren’t afraid to break the mould. You’ll find spray art by graffiti artist YANG, handcrafted cocktails by Angel Ji of Triptyk, statement tattoos by Tattmenot, and upcycled design work by XUE. For those who love a good bargain, the Midnight Live thrift market is worth a visit, while curious minds can sit in for a finance talk with Mr Money TV. And of course, Connor’s Stout will be flowing all day long to keep the energy going.

5. SHOW SOME LOVE TO LOCAL GEMS AT ‘KEDAI SERBA-SERBI’

When: From now until 13 July 2025 | 11am to 10pm

Where: JAM PJ

Price: Free entry

JAM PJ is opening its doors to the latest edition of ‘Kedai Serba-Serbi’. It’s the perfect spot to fuel up on good eats, catch a live set or two, and maybe even leave with a new wardrobe staple. Familiar vendors you might recognise include DI Studios, Bertjorak, Snugy Piercing, and Sijuk House. A curated lineup of pre-loved clothes will also be on display, including pieces from BURO’s April 2025 cover star, Athina Kamarudin. If you need a break from the browsing, there are plenty of activities for you to jump into such as poetry readings, interactive workshops, and even a few rounds of chess.

6. TASTE THE FLAVOURS OF AFRICA AT JOLOKO KL’S AFRICAN FOOD BAZAAR

When: 13 July 2025 | 4pm to 11pm

Where: Joloko KL 

Price: Free entry

Joloko KL is celebrating another year around the sun with a feast that’s full of heart and heritage. For one night only, the team is bringing together home chefs from all corners of Africa—including Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Congo, and Somalia—for a vibrant food bazaar of bold flavours. Expect fiery grills, rich spices, and soulful eats that’ll transport you straight to the streets of Lagos, Nairobi, and Addis Ababa. As always, Joloko brings the heat so come hungry and stay late!

7. MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA AT BOTTEGA PJ
