KUCHING, July 15: Most parts of Malaysia are expected to experience hot and dry weather with significantly reduced rainfall from July 18 to 23, with daily maximum temperatures possibly reaching up to 36°C, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
The department stated that the forecast is based on weather model analyses which suggest that the formation of a tropical storm over the western Pacific Ocean near the Philippines is likely to influence weather patterns across the country.
“The dry spell is expected to affect many areas nationwide, with less rain and increased heat during this period,” it said in a weather advisory issued at 12 noon today.
MetMalaysia advised the public to regularly check its official website at www.met.gov.my, follow its official social media platforms, and download the myCuaca mobile application to stay updated with the latest and verified weather information. — DayakDaily
