Just when you thought the nasi lemak craze couldn't get any more adventurous, a Malaysian woman decided to take it to the next level by pairing the beloved local dish with vanilla ice cream.

In a TikTok video uploaded by user Diyah Zahari on July 11, she is seen plating a regular packet of nasi lemak complete with sambal, anchovies, peanuts, cucumber, and egg. But what followed had viewers doing a double-take. She added a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the rice and then, to everyone's shock, slathered sambal over the ice cream itself.

With a brave face, Diyah gave viewers a good look at the bizarre fusion dish before taking her first bite. What followed was a mix of curiosity, hesitation, and ultimately regret.

The video quickly went viral, sparking a flurry of reactions. While some viewers were impressed by her daring experiment, the majority were appalled by the unusual combo.

Even Diyah herself couldn't hide her true feelings about the taste. When asked how it was, she candidly responded, "It tasted like regret."
