According to Sin Chew Daily, Salim used to drive a BMW in Europe and thought it was the perfect car. However, after moving to Malaysia, he sold the BMW and bought an Axia, which he found more comfortable.

He admitted that the BMW's performance was indeed excellent, but he believed that a car was ultimately just a means of transportation. For him, being able to pay for a car in full without taking on a loan was truly relaxing.

While the Axia isn't as luxurious as a BMW, it still takes him anywhere without financial strain. He admits that no matter how flashy a car is, it won't change his life. "What truly changes his life is freedom from financial burden."
