CelcomDigi app is finally here to unite Celcom and Digi customers

The new CelcomDigi app is now officially available to both Celcom and Digi customers. The official rollout of the new app also means that the telco will begin phasing out the existing Celcom Life and MyDigi apps, which will be fully discontinued on 31 December 2025.

The genesis behind the new CelcomDigi app

While the merger of Celcom and Digi was completed in November 2022, that does not mean everything was immediately in place. For the past three years, the newly unified telco has embarked on a journey to address a long list of post-merger activities that it has to sort out, including a single app to cover both Celcom and Digi customers.

In fact, the telco said the new CelcomDigi app is the final piece in its post-merger integration process. The app has now been designated as the “primary digital touchpoint” for more than 20 million CelcomDigi customers.

What can you expect from the new CelcomDigi app?

CelcomDigi claimed that the new app was built upon the insights from over 10 million customers. It was then refined further during beta testing, which involved over 100,000 users.

One of the app’s main features is the highly personalised For You section that features tailored suggestions on deals and services based on customers’ preferences as well as usage. The app also offers rewards to users every Wednesday through its 3-2-1 Surprise drops, and they can unlock additional rewards through the app’s Daily Streak 7-day challenge.

CelcomDigi has also implemented a version of its AI Experience Centre’s digital human, AI-RA, into the new app to help answer questions from customers at any given time. This is to help supplement the telco’s existing WhatsApp-based customer support, which only operates from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Not to forget, there is also a dedicated Safety section, which not only offers safety tips but also provides easy access to security-oriented offerings such as MobileShield and PrivateSIM. Of course, staple features that you can expect from a telco app, such as bill payment, account information, usage details, and add-on passes, are also available through the new CelcomDigi app.

Postpaid customers can also enjoy free roaming or IDD calls in selected countries for 12 months. The new CelcomDigi app is readily available for the Apple App Store and Google Play, while the Huawei AppGallery version is currently under development.
