Perodua’s new electric car is expected to launch in late 2025 as an in-house-designed B-segment SUV with a target price between RM70,000 and RM80,000. It will feature a 400 km range, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6-7 seconds, a digital interior with physical climate controls, a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model option, and will be produced at Perodua’s Rawang plant.
This will be Perodua’s first EV designed from the ground up on a new, in-house-developed platform, a first for the company.
Perodua aims to localize EV components with the help of local vendors for motors, inverters, and ADAS systems.
