‘Late Bung Moktar a passionate, unique parliamentary politician’

KUCHING (Dec 5): The Parliament may never be the same without the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, said Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

Abdul Karim, who paid tribute to the Kinabatangan MP and extended his condolences to the family, described Bung as a passionate and colourful political figure whose presence will be deeply missed.

“I see that he has been in the political arena for more than 40 years, and his loss must be acknowledged because he has got a style of his own.

“Personally, I see that the Parliament might not be the same without him. Some people might not have liked him, but as a person, he was very colourful.

Abdul Karim made the remarks at a press conference on the Borneo International Textile Festival (BITF) 2025 at Baitulmakmur 2 here on Friday.

He also expressed his deepest condolences to the United Malays National Organisation (Umno) leadership following the passing of the chairman of the Sabah chapters of Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN).

“We will miss him definitely,” he added.
