The Great Chase KL Is Committed To Remain Alcohol-Free & Halal Certified

For those who are unaware, The Great Chase is a popular multi award-winning restaurant that offers authentic, high-quality halal British cuisine in London.

It has recently opened a branch in Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur, generating excitement from eager local diners who are looking for delicious halal food in the city.

Meanwhile, a TikTok user commented saying they “need alcohol in KL”. In response, Simon Pearson, founder of The Great Chase, said the establishment will never serve alcohol because if they do, they cannot be halal-certified.

As for exciting drinks, Andy, Pearson’s business partner, said they’ll be serving ‘’complex, in-house craft mocktails.’’

As it happens, businesses need to be fully operational for a minimum of three months before they can apply for halal certification from Jakim.

Pearson and Andy have shared on TikTok that they’re in the midst of the process of getting halal certified.

In the comments, many praised The Great Chase for its no-alcohol stance and its commitment to remain a completely halal establishment.

A user jokingly said the restaurant owners should proudly brag about the halal certificate once they get their hands on it.
