Strip Law Season 2 Theories And Predictions

The maddening, demented shenanigans of Gumb and Flambe law firm come to an end as the first season of “Strip Law” concludes with Lincoln and Sheila securing a victory for the people of Vegas against the shady Toilet 2.0 corporation, represented by Pringus and Bench. Starting from the bottom, the team of ragtags have come a long way, and the meta commentary of the ending feels like a full circle moment. However, even with its directionless absurdity, the narrative has dropped enough plot points that it can shape up an interesting continuation of “Strip Law” is greenlit for a second season, which it absolutely deserves.

Spoilers Ahead

What Happened to Glem?

Channelling peak Rick Sanchez energy most of the time, Lincoln’s mentor/trusted confidante, the unhinged Glen Blorchman, turned out to be the standout character in the first season of “Strip Law.” Glen shares a good rapport with Irene, whom he considers his protégé, and seeing their bond getting stronger in the course of the series added certain emotional depth to the narrative. By the end of the first season, due to inexplicable reasons, Glen evolves into a giant humanoid rage monster, Glemissimo, and starts wreaking havoc in Carson City. Even though Irene mentions his growth has been triggered at the sight of the members of the team finally getting closure, there might be some other reasons behind this sudden transformation. In the second episode of the series, Glen found himself addicted to the arcade game ‘Glen’s Bounty,’ specifically designed to manipulate his psyche. Even though the creator of the arcade game destroys it out of his goodwill, it remains unknown how he or the evil investors he is associated with were able to learn details about Glem’s personal life. There is a chance that their involvement is somehow responsible for Glem’s transformation to his monstrous form.

There is much to Glem than he lets on, as clues about his background have hinted at the man carrying the burden of a dark past. In the penultimate episode, when Glen is forced to face one of his enemies from the past, he mentions fearing that the killer inside him will awaken. It can be assumed that in the upcoming continuation of the series, the Glemissimo situation will be addressed, and Glem’s mysterious past ties will come to light.

The Lawbert–Vatican Connection

In the seventh episode of “Strip Law,” Irene designed a trash dove-styled mascot for the firm’s new advertisement, named Lawbert, and as she took the responsibility to pose as the mascot in a bodysuit, it almost seemed her new role had taken over her true identity. Eventually the finished advertisement becomes popular, allowing the firm to attract new clients and even win the best advertisement award at the annual Golden Gavel awards. However, Irene might have unknowingly made a dangerous enemy in the process of creating Lawbert. In the final moments of the episode, a warrior priest from the Vatican, Cardinal Ballotini, got a tip about the emergence of an ancient evil in the west, mentioned simply as the dark one, which looks very similar to Lawbert’s appearance. Preparing to hunt down this evil entity, Ballotini sets off to find it, and his future course of action might contribute to a subplot in the upcoming season. It should be mentioned that Lincoln has already drawn ire from believers by posing as a figurehead of liberal atheists while trying to refute the existence of God during the trial involving Dilterton’s custody. This means there is a chance that Cardinal Ballotini might look at him as an enemy of his faith and engage in a conflict with Gumb and Flambe.

Focus on Irene’s Personal Life

Lincoln’s clueless, easygoing, capable investigator niece, Irene, was easily the most likeable character in the series, and yet, just like Glem, her personal life remains unknown to the viewers. From several clues shared across the conversations, it is hinted that Irene had a troubling upbringing; her father had abandoned the family. She looks up to Lincoln as a fatherly figure and gets mad if she feels excluded from his life. A second season might shed light on Irene’s life, highlight the connection she shares with Lincoln, and explore the partnership she shares with Glem.

Sheila’s Relationship With Lincoln

Even though it will be too cliché of a plotline for “Strip Law,” the possibility of a romantic relationship between Sheila and Lincoln can be explored in the continuation. Both of them complement themselves pretty well and have supported each other through thick and thin. Lincoln owes much of the success of Gumb and Flambe to Sheila, who has also helped him to resolve his mommy issues. At the same time, Sheila used to be an underappreciated, talented street magician who couldn’t explore her full potential after getting blackballed by her chauvinist employers—until she met Lincoln, who gave her a platform to showcase her talents. The random one-night stand between the couple resulted in nothing, which shouldn’t be the case given how good these characters are together.
