Five family members perish in pre-dawn house fire in Raub

FIVE members of a family were found burnt to death after a house fire tore through their home in Kampung Pamah Kulat in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Raub district police chief Superintendent Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman said officers received information about the incident at approximately 3.35am.

“As soon as the fire was extinguished, we discovered all the victims at the scene,” he said when contacted by Bernama on Thursday.

He said the bodies would be taken to Hospital Raub for further action.

The cause of the blaze has yet to be disclosed. - February 26, 2026
