Qualcomm Unveils The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 For Galaxy, Driving Unprecedented Performance In The Galaxy S26 Series

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. today introduced its most advanced Snapdragon Mobile Platform to date — the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy — set to power Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra globally, and Galaxy S26+ and S26 in select regions. Featuring the custom-built 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU, the latest Qualcomm Adreno GPU and the advanced Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, the platform enables faster workflows, enhanced camera capabilities including Advanced Professional Video capture, and more personalised on-device AI experiences such as Now Nudge.

Qualcomm Technologies and Samsung collaborated closely to optimise Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy for the latest Galaxy AI experiences. From delivering timely and relevant suggestions to handling actions in the background on the user’s behalf, these capabilities are designed to run smoothly and efficiently on Snapdragon.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy also integrates Qualcomm Smart Transmit technology to help users stay connected by optimising uplink power across 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and satellite links. This enables faster uploads, improved coverage and seamless performance without compromising safety or efficiency. Powered by the Qualcomm FastConnect 7900 Mobile Connectivity System, Galaxy S26 Ultra and S26+ further enhance this experience with integrated Ultra Wideband, enabling more responsive everyday interactions.
