A Malaysian man recently shared a deeply personal confession online about the struggles he faces in his long term relationship, sparking discussions about intimacy, honesty and emotional needs in relationships.

The anonymous post, which was shared on a confession platform, described how he has been in a stable relationship with his girlfriend for more than eight years.

Despite their strong companionship and comfortable life together, he revealed that a lack of sexual compatibility has become a major challenge between them.

Says relationship is stable but intimacy is lacking

According to the man, he is 31 years old while his girlfriend is 32. The couple has been living together for years and both of them share similar views about not wanting children or getting married.

He described their relationship as harmonious and supportive. They get along well in daily life and their families are also accepting of their relationship.

“She understands my temper and emotions very well,” he wrote, adding that she has always been a good partner to him.

However, he admitted that the biggest issue between them lies in their mismatched sex drives.

Says their intimacy happens only once every one or two weeks

The man explained that his sexual needs are relatively high and he often feels the urge almost every day. In contrast, his girlfriend has very little interest in intimacy.

He claimed that they usually only have sex once every one or two weeks and it is almost always initiated by him.

At times, he said his girlfriend appears uninterested during the process and has even fallen asleep.

Although they have tried discussing the issue and exploring different ways to improve the situation, he said her interest in intimacy has not changed.

He also shared that this was not a new problem, as his girlfriend had previously admitted experiencing a similar issue in her past relationship.

Admits he began secretly meeting other men

Feeling increasingly frustrated, the man said he downloaded dating apps about two years ago.

He initially started chatting with other men because he did not want to cheat on his girlfriend with another woman. However, he eventually began meeting some of them in person.

Through these experiences, he said he realised that his boundaries regarding gender might not be as fixed as he once believed.

The man insisted that these encounters were not frequent and claimed they did not affect his daily life or relationship. He said he would always return home afterwards and keep those experiences separate from his personal life.

Asks if honesty would be better

Despite what he admitted doing, the man stressed that he still wants to spend the rest of his life with his girlfriend.

He said he is satisfied with their companionship and daily life together, but the issue of intimacy continues to weigh heavily on him.
