7-month-old baby’s finger stuck in walker, firemen called to help

KLANG – A woman sought the Fire and Rescue Department’s assistance after her baby’s right thumb became stuck in a baby walker in an incident at Kampung Suara Kapar here on Tuesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received an emergency call at about 12.41pm, prompting four personnel, including an officer from the Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station, to be dispatched to the scene.
He said the team arrived at 1.01pm after travelling 21 kilometres.
“The operations commander reported that a seven-month-old baby boy had his thumb stuck in a baby walker.
“Firemen managed to safely remove the child’s finger using special equipment,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He added that the baby was later handed over to family members for further action.
