NADMA Coordinates Four Cloud-Seeding Operations In Melaka, Johor From Today

PUTRAJAYA, April 20 (Bernama) -- Four series of cloud-seeding operations (OPA), focusing on the southern regions of Peninsular Malaysia, namely Melaka and Johor, will be carried out starting today until Thursday (April 23).

Coordinated by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), the OPA follows the hot and dry weather in several areas of both states, which has affected the daily lives of residents, particularly in terms of the sustainability of water supply services, agriculture, smallholders and safety.

In a statement today, NADMA said that this OPA focuses on eight dams and two water treatment plants (WTP) in Melaka and Johor to ensure the continuity of water supply to residents.
